You already know your camera. What’s usually missing isn’t skill, it’s direction, a reason the shot exists beyond “it looked nice.” The NF Darkroom is a small paid community for photographers over 50 who’d like other people, and me, to look at their work with that question in mind.

What it actually is

Once a month I set a focus — a theme, a constraint, something to shoot toward. You post the work. I give it a proper look, and so does everyone else here. No vague “lovely shot” comments, no gear debates. Just honest, constructive feedback aimed at helping you work out what you’re actually trying to say.

I post my own work too, and I want the same honesty in return.
